St.Lawrence College, Brockville Campus

The City

The city itself is located along the St. Lawrence River making it an ideal location for outdoor activities in both the winter and the summer months. Some of which include; fishing, swimming, hiking, kayaking, bicycling and even scuba diving! The city has been named the worlds best fresh water scuba diving destination! Located within close proximity to the 1000 islands, the city also offers a unique opportunity to camp on the islands with the only access being kayak or canoe!

Brockville is home to the Braves Junior A hockey team as well as the Tikis Junior B hockey team. There are three golf courses that are located right in the city, with the Brockville Country Club being known as one of the best conditioned and deceptively challenging courses in Eastern Ontario.

Brockville has a number of great activities available within the community, with a number of public parks, sports fields, skateboard parks and even a synthetic ice pad! Services

St. Lawrence College Brockville campus offers a number of services to not only meet but exceed the needs of all students and guests. Some of the typical services include; campus bookstore, financial services, math and writing centre, among many others.

The Marianne van Silfhout art gallery that is built right inside the front atrium of our Brockville campus is state-of-the-art and offers the Fine Arts students (both full and part time) the unique ability to put on art shows, displaying their own creations to the public. This provides a means of building confidence and recognition within the community and art world.

Each of our campuses has their own unique opportunities. Brockville is the only campus out of the three to offer the Pre-Service Firefighting program allowing students the ability to receive hands on experience in all forms of fighting fires!

  • Community Integration through Co-operative education

St. Lawrence Brockville also offers some interesting part time courses such as; ceramics, fibre arts – traditional rug hooking and proficiency in conversational French language.

Housing

Clubs / Sports

Our Brockville campus is home to the St. Lawrence Schooners varsity athletics. Offering a number of different varsity teams competing at the OCAA level, such as;

  • Cross Country
  • Badminton
  • Golf
  • Men’s & Women’s Indoor Soccer

Brockville also offers a Men’s ice hockey team as an extramural sport. They compete in multiple tournaments throughout the duration of the school year.

The campus is currently revamping their clubs system, but still have one that is running;

  • The Baccalaureate Nursing Student Society (or the BNSS)
